Job Purpose

The Plant Manager is responsible for providing leadership to achieve the required operating results and corporate initiatives for the facility. The Plant Manager is also responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and delivery to accomplish manufacturing objectives and to satisfy customer expectations.

Principal Accountabilities

The functions below are not all inclusive of the duties for this position. Other responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary.

  • Accountable for operating below budget on Operation Expenses.

  • Accountable for preparing Operations Budget for review and approval from Director of Operations.

  • Accountable for safety and environmental culture and systems throughout the plant including 5S initiatives.

  • Accountable for Inventory Management of operations based on goals and objectives.

  • Accountable for OEE (Operating Equipment Effectiveness), for continuous improvement of operations, quality, and productivity.

  • Accountable for making sure Preventive Maintenance process is being performed and at 100% completion (including critical / spare parts inventory).

  • Work with Engineering on Capex Planning for site and assist in managing projects through completion. Note: Engineering will be responsible for researching and recommending new process/capital equipment.

  • Complete long-range planning of required man hours, capacity, and materials availability based on sales forecasts.

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts on challenging manufacturing issues with the process or facility.

  • Implement corrective and preventive actions as required for process related issues.

  • Participate as team member or leader in continuous improvement programs.

  • Provide leadership that drives the successful achievement of the facility’s goals and objectives.

  • Embody the company’s Values of integrity, commitment to continual improvement, personal ownership within a team-based organization and investment in people.

  • May provide technical and or managerial support to all MCA-PPD sites.

  • Troubleshoot challenging manufacturing issues with the process or facility.

  • Experience in the automotive industry and plastic compounding industry preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Consistently meet or exceed commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)

  • The salary range for this position is $128,627-$160,784. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
