Principal Accountabilities

  • Follow all safety instructions for operating equipment. Be proactive in addressing safety concerns.

  • Understand our Dust Policy and apply the strictest level of Dust Elimination / Control.

  • Perform all functions with an attitude of teamwork, cooperativeness, positive thinking, and responsibility.

  • Awareness of maintenance of equipment and notification to proper personnel.

  • Perform Housekeeping and 6S Projects to maintain a Clean / Organized work area.

  • Communicate work progress with previous / upcoming shifts.

  • Maintains production efficiency and quality standards to include setting times for mixing of resin (virgin, pigment, liquid/powder)

  • Utilize Movex to follow schedule, print Manufacturing Orders, Complete Material Confirmations, Enter Work Orders, and Check Material Balance.

  • Weigh pigments by hand and set digital scale.

  • Safely operate forklift to transport gaylord boxes of resin, chemicals, pallets, etc.

  • Carry approximately 40lb boxes of resin from shelf to work area.

  • Fill mixer by dumping chemicals from bags into mixer.

  • Operate and observe hopper and mixer operation.

  • Daily complete compound reports and production report.

  • Places identification tag on material box and plastic liner.

  • Clean mixer, scale, and work area after each color change to ensure no contamination.

  • Learn and understand resins and their different properties.

  • Learn and understand resin / regrind vacuum system.

  • Complete Operator PM’s as necessary, and on time.

  • Operate regrind system to mix, sift, shred, grind, pulverize and convey reprocessed materials.

  • Change Blades, and Re-gap UHMW Pulverizer.

  • Responsible for training of new hires and cross training of personnel for the area.

  • Responsible for the quantity and quality of material produced.

  • Learn the differences of KVM and Laurel Line Compounding.

  • Provide leadership within the department and throughout the company.

  • Complete Inventory Accuracy and Cycle Count Functions as necessary.

  • The salary for this position is $22.83. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
